PvP Server Updated to 1.3.1

Yessir, the PvP Server has finally been updated to 1.3.1.

Apologies for the delay, I have been quite busy + waiting for some solid plugins etc to be released.

As for SMP server, we are close to putting the 1.3.1 version live.

Yes, 1.3.1 is out now but the servers won't be upgraded straight away. Because? Bukkit needs to update, Plugins need to update, H4X needs more TNT.

So please be patient as we go through this update as I know you guys are curious to how we will handle the new map, the old map and MrSnowGlobe's insanity.

Also keep holding your questions guys (don't bother other Staff members), H4X will tell you guys all about the plan when he is ready.

WoM PvP Server

You read right, we made a PvP server for all out fighting! We called it WoM PvP Fight Club.

The PvP server is not whitelisted and comes with a large list of non-existant rules*. Griefing, Raiding, Traps, Guerrilla War - do what you need to build up the kills!

PvP ranks & Stats available in game (/help) along with the PvP leaderboard.

*Ok, 1 rule... client hacks/cheats are not permitted.

Just a quick note: Public SMP server has moved to a beefier server, yet again.

To join, connect to: publicsmp.womjr.com

Some features in SMP Portal will not be available for a while.

Why are WoM SMP Servers down?

Update: Mojang fixed the issue, we are back online.

We are aware of the security issues involved with the Minecraft authorization servers and are currently working to fix it.

Right now the authorization servers have been taken offline and will be down until further notice. The Mojangstas are working hard to make sure we get everything back to perfect working order.

We’ll keep you updated as we have a more clear timeline. We really are sorry about this and are working as fast as we can!

Basically, there is a flaw with the minecraft login server which allows these "hackers" to login as anyone (even admins) on any smp server with mojang accounts. There were attempts on the WoM Public Server which were detected and blocked immediately, followed by a server save and safe shutdown. This happened a few hours before posting this message.

Once the security issues with minecraft have been fixed, we will be back online.
