WoM Server Patrol (LOCKED)

We have decided to allow some trusted users the privilege to patrol the WoM servers without being Staff.

They will be able to use special commands to patrol, monitor, listen and report to WM and Staff about issues on Realms and SMP. They can not ban, kick or silence.

WoM Realms contest 2.

Introduction

We're proud to announce the second official WoM Realms contest. This month's contest is all about WoM Landmarks and Natural Wonders. To start building in the contest type /contest while in WoM:Realms.

You must design and make your own special Landmark or Natural Wonder. You cannot replicate an already existing Landmark or Natural Wonder in WoM, from another server or the real world. It must be completely original. As this may be a little harder then the previous contest we have added an extra week to the contest.

WoM Game client 1.8.5

Some people have been asking for a version of WoM Game Client that behaves exactly like the original client.

I'm not going to make a completely different version without hacks, but towards this end, an option has been added for completely disabling hacks (ie, so there's no hacks to start with when the client starts up)

All other functionality remains such as the chat modifications, support for themes, mouse smoothing, ui disabling etc. But there are no hacks and the game client will respond exactly as the original client.

You can now access all the old World of Minecraft server maps via the museum on WoM Realms.

You can view the museum list in two locations.

WorldofMinecraft.com and WoMRealms.com

To access the maps in-game use the command /museum.
Example: /museum main_flatgrass

Malicious Client\Add-ons

It recently came to our attention that a list of approximately 1,000 Minecraft account names and passwords were made freely available on the internet. We believe this list consists of information collected by a group of malicious users from a well known "griefing team". How the information in this list was obtained is not sure, but we suspect they collected them through the use of hacked clients (that pretend to only give you extra features like flying or seeing through blocks but actually send your account information to the creators as well) or websites made to look like the official Minecraft site.

We urge you to change your passwords immediately at Minecraft.net. If you use the same password for anything Minecraft related i.e WoMRealms.com or on our forums please change them as-well to be on the safe side.

The official WoM Game Client is only distributed by us (WorldofMinecraft.com) and is available from the downloads section. Any other clients labeled "WoM Game Client" should not be trusted and are not legitimate.

On another note, please be careful when downloading plugins\addons for your server. You should only trust sites that are well known within the community.
