Well guys, I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that we are back in business. We have started a fresh with all servers! SMP is back right now with PvP and CMP to follow in the next day or so! (Server is also 1.5.1)
The bad news we will not be restoring userdata and maps, we are starting fresh (see post below this on front page for more details). Time to look forward to a fresh and faster WoM! -H4X
In light of recent events, we are pushing to bring a lot of awesome new features online as quick as possible!
If you have any feedback or complaints please feel free to comment in this thread or message me.
Lunick Edit: This is also a chance for (almost) everyone who has been banned to be able to join SMP again and try and redeem themselves.

Because if they are, I will NOT tolerate this, no matter what you say. I worked a lot to get things done so far.
Anyway, my new home spawn should be at these coords:
X: 1384
Y: 64
Z: 34
The coords to my old house are on the previous thread.

I know it stinks to lose everything, and I kind of wish I had screenshotted my house and other builds so I could try and remake them, but I am actually really excited about being able to start 100% fresh. Thank you for bringing SMP back! :D

I truly did like the old SMP seed. Is there a chance to use that one instead? Also, will the server owned market be rebuilt?

A sad goodbye. I can honestly say that the staff lost the most out of this. However the best thing to do is to keep moving forward as much as possible. On the bright side, problems like mob spawns are fixed. Unfortunately the market district will not be rebuilt. (Up to snow though). However possibly a town shopping center like in the previous map can be made by the players. Most people prefer to build their own shop anyway. Best thing to do is look forward to the future.

I'm sure there was a loss of plugin data and configs and things like that. Which can take many days of work to perfect, If this is so then I have great sympathy for whoever has to redo it
As for the world restart, It's not a huge deal. Sometimes we need to start over to stay enjoying the game

All the configs and plugin data and server settings and command settings. That's what poor MrSnowGlobe lost. And has to reset. Along with many other server side configs.

SMP went from vanilla to fully configured in 3 hours. Not too shabby if I do say so myself ^_^
@quake I get your fustrated but we all lost a great deal. The staff lost 2 months of work which was for a special project. We arnt complaining

I'm sorry but I still don't accept the fact that WE lost EVERYTHING.
At least you should help us with some tools, the least you can do. I still don't tolerate starting from scartch.

Well you just need to remove your head from the clouds becuase, like you just said "WE lost EVERYTHING". Your right, everyone lost everything, including the staff , you don't see us crying to people asking for assistance, we are just taking it on the chin and pushing forward. I lost a year worth of server improvements and configureations which I rebuilt in a matter of hours, am I crying? No.
I don't understand why you think we owe you something, what happened to our data was not the staff teams fault. No one saw it coming, its as simple as that.
If you dont tolerate it then please be on your way becuasee your stuff is not coming back

Ok... I've tried to be nice about this to you... but clearly you just don't get it
I have been running this server since it launched last year FREE OF CHARGE. I do it for free and I have spent a lot of my free time on the WoM Servers. Trying to improve them and add fun new things. Yes, I admit that thigns did not go to plan sometimes but for the most part I like to think I have been doing ok.
Before you go ahead and blaime me just to make yourself feel good, bare this in mind. Without me, there would be no server.
Now please, either go see a child phycologists and sort out your issues or leave.
The choice is yours.

We are most likely on a developmental build, which means bugs and crashes are likely.

It crashed a few times(not updated) when I was on, yens right still a bright new server going to be some kinks for a bit.

I lost more than 64 diamonds, 32 emeralds, 10000 pieces of oak wood, 10 gold apples, 1 entire set of diamond tools and armor ( that includes the hoe and spade), 200 pieces of iron, and 64 pieces of gold and a LOT of other things including farms, ranch's and my own forest and think about King_FredrickIV!
He HAD everything he had millions of in-game dollars and he lost it all as well. Do you hear him complaining? No. He's looking at it with a positive attitude and is playing the game with no troubles/worries/burdens because who cares it's just a game. Just deal with **** happens and move on.
I'm not just talking to you Quake but to everyone who is complaining about this. You don't think MrSnowGlobe or H4X or whoever is trying to make this fun and actually work, for you, for us and for everyone else.
There's even players out there getting others there stuff back like that building with a chest in it saying take 1 of each and guess what it's for everyone who lost everything in the old WoM. It's there to help YOU, they're there to help YOU, to make things better for YOU! So quit whining and play with a smile.

Then how are we to communicate as a community if we do not post what we have on our minds? Sure some should be kept in our minds but we can't send letters and then wait another month for a reply.
Most people post often because they only ask for the answer of their current situation and don't ask about other things that are currently happening to them and so they post many times or they dont understand the answer and ask again but they ask it differently or need more explaining for they do not comprehend.

I think everyone should just shut up and be thankful that snow put in the work to fix it as fast as possible
redoing all the configs in 3 hours is an incredible feat and i doubt anyone that is complaining about stupid ingame crap could do what snow did.

But we can get the server back on track, (By this I mean we all the community could help) If all of us help out and get the server back to usaully, we would make it be the same or change it to make it better. This is just a suggestion. But I mean we all could use the creative world to build things for Mini Games for like CTF arena and much more. The whole community could help. But it is up to us.
