So, I know I have not said the kindest things about minecraft classic lately, and I am sorry about that but the problem now is the barrage of posts wom has been getting about not logging in. I speak from experience. Also, before anyone asks, I know my password. The problem with client is it says servers r down/not vallid name+pass. So u could argue that It is my fault still. BUT here is the weird thing. If I log onto minecraft.net, it works fine at first but then says IE can not display the webpage. Diagnose connection problem. Now you could say it is my computers fault but I have 2 reasons why not. 1. When I refresh it takes me to this weird looking Yahoo! search engine. 2. Isn't it a BIT suspicious that your all of a sudden getting all of these posts saying unable to log in? If anyone can finish please post below. Bye!

Hey, guys I just like 5 secs ago saw answer. Well, not so much solution as update. the entire domain seems to be down. Thats all i hav 4 now.

I've also come to know that if you migrate your MC account, you can't use WoM because of the reason; "Illegal name". I hope the WoM Developers fix this. ;P

What does it mean to migrate ur account? I am still using the same computer 4 minecraft with or without client. Also, if that IS what it means, I doubt that many people could have done it.

Hey, just tried logging onto minecraft.net. Worked fine. I wish I could say the same for the client. I guess for now we need to keep on playing the old fashioned way! XP

Guys, okay here's what I've tried and pretty worked for some times.
I just sign in 2 times in a row, and it should be working.
Sometimes it still refuses, but try like that.
Sign in then sign in again. *NOTE: Before any window opens, just sign in twice".

If you are using Java7 this message comes up. Download Java6 update35 and uninstall java7. Worked for me.

So... it only blocks entry sometimes and it only rejects java 7?

TMSJOKER IS RIGHT!! What u do is click your wom client multiple times opening at least 6 windows. Then click sign in VERY FAST until u go through all the windows. 4 out of the 6 should work. THANK U TMSJOKER HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE FIXED THOUGH!!!
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 24TH:
This no longer works for me after a day(of course -_-). So were all back to square one now it seems. Although ive heard that someone has somehow hacked the verification in WOM so the developers shut it down for now to fix it. I have no actuall proof that this is more than just a rumour, but its something.

You do realize that 4 out of 6 is the same as 2 out of 3. So if probability persists, so you should only have to open 3.

Lol yeah as he said, you don't need millions of Windows, just open 1-3 or okay maximum 4 and this should let you work.

just tried it and it did not work. Hit all log in buttons in less than 5 seconds and all the requests came back denied!

Don't you worry. Just retry.
It doesn't always work for the 1st time.
If didn't again, then wait for 5-10 minutes, and then try again. It does.

Haven't tried yet, but the word on the street is Java 6.

Yes I've Had the same problem Before here to But there Are Multiple Ways To try To Fix this, and here are some ways now that worked for me and a few other people. :)
1. Turn Off You Computer And Wait 40-60 Seconds Before Starting it again.
2. Restart You Modem And wait 40-60 Seconds Before Turing It Back on
3. Check Your Version Of Java And make Sure You have the Latest
4. ReDownload WoM
5.Change You Minecraft.Net Password.
6. Make Sure You didn't Migrate your account or it might not work anymore Until WoM upates or something.
I hope some of these steps helped and that you can keep haveing the best WoM Experiance you can have :)

Cant login and the last server I was on is shut down so I cant play MC because normal minecraft.net just doesnt work so I guess Ill use the direct link, oh wait, what server? I dont know any servers to go on, -_-

ok so what you have to do is get the ip adress, the port number and link (its hard to explain in a short way) but just look on youtube and you will figure it out.....I did

none of this works except maybe hte password change, but I can't do that as minecraft.net won't load for me, or for my brother, or a lot of people.

Yea I agree with x2468642x. I think it's because Notch stopped that agreement or whatever with Windows 8 and now everytime I try to go onto Minecraft.com it says this:Internet Explorer can't show this page (or something like that).In one search I saw on (I think) BBC news that Notch stopped the agreement by the way.

But minecraft.net only goes down for a hour or less. Its back up now.I encourage everyone to look on youtube to figure out how to use the direct connect URL. It was always work and does not require you to sign in.

check in active topics part of this site or 3rd party wom fix. make sure to download 1.7 version. its the same as wom but gets updates more often and with more options. Ive been able to log in with it for 2 days straight so far.

On my pc mozilla refuses to play minecraft, but on IE it works fine.

I am having the exact same problem, and so is my brother, must be a bug.
if you click resume instead, it takes you to that server, but if you want to go to another server, I don't think you can.
Evidentally, I am spending too much time on Minecraft. My mom says that 27 hours a day is way too much.
