A 24\7 Server is not something to just ask for for free. I run my own server, and they can take alot of maintenance. Honestly I have a few suggestions.
1.Find someone who runs one, and ask them if they want to share.
2. Unless you absolutely need a fulltime server, and if your computer is good enough, just run it on your computer.
3.Get a job and buy a server off e-bay.
Beware they are loud....

Look, it may be your thread, but that doesnt mean other people cant post in it.
As for the server hosting, minecraft servers take a lot of pc and memory usage. 24/7 doesnt help. Chances are if you find someone to host it, it wont be free.

There is no way people could host a MC server for free for you, the amount of upkeep they require at times is tedious if you know what your doing.
Plus server hardware + bandwidth isn't cheep.
If you want a server badly then start saving (:
