Once upon a time, I had a curse on me that made me have two lives that I would magically switch from one to the other once every 24 hours at midnight. In one, I was a young boy who lived alone on an otherwise desserted jungle island, with only a primitive hut for shelter and whatever I could manage to kill for food. Every day, my courage was maintained only by the head of a lion that I had killed the day I landed on the Island, which reminded me that I am strong and capable since I had ever won a fight with such a beast. I wished to one day be found and taken to civilization. In the other life, I was a beautiful and wealthy teenaged girl who lived on the outskirts of Tokyo with hundreds of dedicated admirers, and I had more money and a higher value in property than Kim Jong un could imagine. Yet, I was drawn to the ocean, frequenting pacific shores and looking out dreamingly at the horizon where the water seemed to merge with the equally blue sky, constantly wanting to know what is out there not by research, but by experience. I constantly wondered if there was really more than what I'd seen, if over the seemingly endless water could be another life that is more exciting, more adventurous, and more humble than my own, and I dreamed of finding such life.
