We are wanting to run another contest fairly soon and we have our own ideas for themes. However! We would like to take a moment to see what you guys can come up with.

So leave your ideas below and we will consider them. We may even have a poll for the best ideas and then we can get back to you on the results and then a contest!

Ideas:

Futuristic

History

4 Seasons: Basically the maps would have to have something to do with all 4 seasons in their map.
Cinema: Everyone has to make something out of a film
Nature: Giant tree houses, giant birdie birds, venus womtrap.

I would suggest........

I think the contest should be a 4 Season themed.

Basically the maps would have to have something to do with all 4 seasons in their map.

This would provide a great challenge and is quite original.

Each map has to have something to do with all 4 seasons = Winter, Summer, Spring, Autum.

a cinema themed contest

everyone has to make something out of a film (large structure, city, huge pixel character etc)

I think that we should do it according to the coming season and the joy of that season or something. If not then I don't really know... I suppose anything will do, it all gets you rep :)

Suggestion

Well, perhaps a great theme could be maybe a city theme, giant towers, with long small building complex's at the ground. Hope you like my suggestion,

I know that we just had a Christmas-themed contest, but this could be the flipside of that. it could be "Cold Winter" as opposed to "Christmas Cheer". It'd be interesting to see the entries. n.n

It's not winter everywhere!

Just cause it's winter in the northern hemishpere, doesn't mean it should be a 'winter' theme! Although I understand where you are coming from, I think it would be good to make it a 'season theme' rather than just the one season, relating to what it is in only half the world experiences durring christmas...

Just tossing these out there:

House theme, like mansions or w/e
I do like the food and space ideas....

or, something that JUST hit my mind:

Valentine Chat Theme.
You get a special copy of /chat, and decorate it the way you want with the theme of Valentines day. (possible: winner could have his theme the main chat for V-day.)

Hmm...

Hmm... I enjoy this topic. I like how the Staff is letting us, the people of WoM choose.

How about a medieval type theme... Castles, Dragons, Battles, ect.

I would also like to say that i like Naufal's idea. A history thing. like, Revolutionary war theme, but not all WoMers are American. So, maybe a battle theme? Wars?

I think a good idea for a

I think a good idea for a contest would be something to do with the modern navies of the world. Perhaps something like the creations of a naval fleet or a scale aircraft carrier, even just a ship contest like a luxury cruiser contest perhaps. I don't think this has been suggested before.. I sure hope not :P It is unique in my opinion and it would definitely not be an easy contest.

(Trust me (The navy freak) to suggest this :P)

EDIT - Perhaps a disaster zone even... Like the street of a major city that has been struck by an earthquake, or worse yet, a nuclear blast. Eg: for the nuclear blast there could be a big crater, and lots of ruined buildings around the place. Like skyscrapers that have fallen over. Of course the sky color would be changed and all to suit the theme. And for the earthquake there could be a huge crack down the middle of the street.
