I have downloaded the mod, but i dont have winzip to access it. (my 45 day trial ended) is there any other way of getting this?

This post may be a bit old...

You don't need winzip to extract the mod. You should have a built in archiver.  To use it instead of winzip, I believe you have to right click the zip file, then go down the properties, find something for default programs, then change it to the other program listed. (I may not be entirely correct, as I am trying to do this off of memory.)

Also, try 7-zip  it's free and it is a pretty good archiver.

7-zip

just get 7-zip. It is free and handles pretty much all formats.

But anyway, since you are on windows, you shouldn't really need any. Windows can extract zip archives by default.

Maybe he means he needs it so he can open up Minecraft.exe with it to apply the mods? Idk, thats just me :p
