I had the same problem also. I just tried it again and it worked. Now, I am stuck on a screen that says Your Maps:

Two things:

Change the permissions using chmod

or

Sudo the application

Default location installation:

1. Open Terminal
2. rm -rf /Applications/WoM.app/Contents/Resources/Java/lib/minecraft*
3. cd /Applications/WoM.app/Contents/MacOS
4. sudo ./JavaApplicationStub
5. Enter password for admin privs
6. It will prompt to download minecraft.jar
7. Enter minecraft.net username\password into client
8. Click Sign In.

If you have it installed it a different location please adjust appropriately.

You then can quit the application and run from normal location.

If this doesn't work for you, please let me know the error, also make sure to remove important data out of it, such as password so other users don't see it when you paste it here.

i have a similar message when im trying to download the minecraft.jar, i have a pc however, and ive never had issues with the wom client before =/ ive tried reinstalling it multiple times with no difference and ive never had issues with it until the latest update, i even tried manually downloading and putting the jar file in but it still wont open =/
 please help. thanks

The WOM login boots up fine for me, but when I try to sign in it shows:
"Your username/password may be incorrect or there are no servers to validate your login"
I saw the previous threads dealing with the issue, but my username/password IS correct.. I also tried making a new account just to test and I got the same results.
Is this a Mac issue? Or is it just WOM?

Are you using minecraft.net username\password?

upgraded to 2.0.5 today and since then I can't use hacks I instead get the message in the subject of this comment up by the enable hacks checkbox.  Some on chat are telling me I have been banned.  That makes no sense to me.  I have been a member for 2 1/2 weeks, have not participated in chat, have not griefed, have only gone to my realm and build as well as building on /realm youareadevil freebuild and /realm deadlypixel69 freebuild.  There are plenty of other like complaints in the chat on womrealms so I know I'm not alone in this.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses it for stress relief. However; it sounds like you are just using an old client.

Have your tried updating to 2.0.5?

When i try to run 2.0.5, i get the missing file warning at click download and I get that same message, except instead of the World Of Minecraft part, i get WoM Game Client. I use OSX, if that makes any difference.

1. Go open your application
2.RIGHT CLICK on wom and DONT open it instead, do show contents.
3. Go explore in it until you find boot.jar
4. i think after that its says do u want to open it.
5. say yes
6. yay there is ur login

Hey guys, I'm new to Minecraft and just logged in. Every time I tried to go a server (doesn't matter which one), a note popped up that said it "Failed to start Minecraft...Could not create context". The window turns all white, and I can't see what's going on in the server.  I'm not sure about what to do.

Ok sorry. I am not sure if there is necro-posting rules here but either way. Is there anyone that knows how to fix this? I personally op a server and WoM would help but I have the "Authentication Error" problem. Any attempt at helping me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!
