wow bad lag. if this is ur server i would suggest lowering the amount of people to join or restarting it. also turning lowlag mode on helps.

It's really hard to blame this on one thing but this is my theory:
The fact that so many people on at once and so many open worlds was possibly lagging the server, was there any idea of how many people were on SMP as well?
The only thing wrong with this was that I have heard that we had over 100s of people on the server at once before.
Needs more Moujave and H4X, definitely more Triddin with a side of Shnaw and some Deadly and hey, whats a party without PartyM!

I agree with Lunick's theory. Because the size of the maps are increased by 64 units for each rank, and because there are usually ~20 people online at once, the server will almost always lag at regular intervals. Combined with the fact that SMP is almost infinite (up until the Far Lands, where it will usually crash), you will definitely experience a lot of chat lag and disconnects.
I also think its because there are so many techs with main realms of 256^3.

For sure. I'd think that it's because the Server can only process a limited amount of information and that the limit was exceeded and in order to regain balance, the Chat was delayed being as (in my opinion) it is the least valuable information source. It could also have been because our Server had a minute or two of low Internet connection, therefore reducing all other tasks performance speeds.

I just think you should get over it. I don't think we should be complaining
about a bit of lag when there are other, more severe and detrimental problems in the world.

Little thingy: 80 is much for now, but was average months ago... Average is now 30. And btw, back then, the server could handle it

We have more bigger realms for the server to handle now than a few months back.

chat lag is because you dont have a good internet connection. if you have chat lag, you need a better connection.

That is some pretty big lag, probably because there were about 80 people online at the time.
