Okay I use the hax package to
just build around. maybe a game of lava or zombie survival, maybe even capture the flag. I am even an operator on one of the servers. imagine my shock when I noticed that there was no longer a classic hyperlink.
I thought, 'Hey. probobaly just crashed.' I did a search for where the links went and this came up. it is only the trial version now. this is outrageous! there is no way that I will be able to afford to play full. I spent (don't judge me) sometimes hours on classic when the day was slow. Now its all just gone. no more minecraft for me. Like the rest of the world less and less things are still free. Please do enlighten me, minecraft, how do you plan to brag about your excessive members now. Please support my cause and help me get back classic. show your support by commenting and liking. (Also, no this is not a scam to get points.)

just so you know they did remove the link and after a large amount of complaints they re-added it

In case no one has realized yet Minecraft Classic was outdated like over a year ago, even if they did re-add it they will take it out completely in the near future they took out survival test or whatever had the testing mobs feature in between classic and survival because it was outdated just as this is.

It goes to this page with the NEW demo vesion but under it is the classic version.
But click on the "Looking for classic?" button on the home page then you'll see this.

well, the thing is, even though they are still running it, they no longer support it. So the server I am operator in has so far had redflowers spawned all over, and all i found last time i logged on was a bottomless pit and then it would crash. so, without protection from the company its extremely vulnerable.

One of us (if not both) is very confused here.
Mojang never stopped people from placing flowers on your server, or making pits. And they have not really changed how classic works.
I think that someone has logged onto that server and decided to grief with flowers. Nothing has changed on the server-side.
As for the crashing, just means you have an unstable server, or maybe minecraft.net crashed at some point.

what I mean is that the home screen on my server everything is gone. all you can see is the sea and granite walls that show up below sea level. and by red flower, I mean spawning magma all over the place. hope this clears some stuff up.

It is not gone you go to the bottom of the page once you have clicked
'looking for minecraft classic?' click on single or multiplayer and you can play classic again.

We have all concluded that the "looking for classic" button will take you to the Classic version of the game. No need to keep saying what has been said several times before. And I'm fairly certain this topic was posted during the brief time when there was no Classic directory button on the Minecraft home page.
