Minecraft will not load?

Hello there, i recently downloaded the beta to MineCraft due to playing FortressCraft on xbox and when i go to run minecraft.exe nothing happens, it asks to run, I click run and nothign happens?

I have tryed it all but yet nothing works.
I even bought the game but steel cannot get it to play off line or on.
I check to see if i have an account witch i do.
i am runing win vista home pre.
