Whats up everyone?
I have been searching days on end for an NPC village in release 1.4.2 and have yet to come across one. I have searched high and low in flat/meadow and desert biomes with no success. Any tips to finding them?
Also just a quick question, I downlaod texture packs to the right spot and such but it won't let me play them on Minecraft; like they won't load. Tips?

look in the plains and in deserts for some

As they are normally quite flat so you can see for ages, and if you get a big desert, it is almost guarenteed to have one.

It can be hard when playing offline, as a single player.
However, if your playing on line, then you can always ask round to see if anybody else had seen a village. There is one near spawn to the east, but all the villagers there had been captured and the houses claimed.

I have been in a very simular situation before. The best thing that I do when I find a village is destroy it. Can I tell you how? Spawning the wither boss!

well you just arnt searching in the right spot and I think 1.3 texture packs wont work on 1.4
