Definition

Premium is the term used to describe a player who has purchased minecraft. A Premium player only has to buy the game once. From then on, any future released versions of the game or game addons will be completely free. They also have the ability to change their player skin.

Premium members have access to /indev mode. Indev mode allows players to play future versions of the game being worked on. Notch frequently updates this with things he is working on. 

Specials

  • The special "Prepurchase" pricing for the game was approximately €9.95. But when the game reaches beta, the game price will be doubled.
  • For christmas 09, Notch allowed anyone who has purchased the game to gift it to friend for free.
