Hi, this is a tutorial of how to change the splash and the text shown on the minecraft launcher!

NOTE: THIS MOD WILL NOT EVER EFFECT YOUR GAME SO I WILL WORK FOR ALL UPDATES
NOTE: THIS THRED IS WRITTEN IN THE STAGE: BETA 3.1_01

TUTORIAL:
1. Navagate to "AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin"
2. Open minecraft.jar with 7-Zip or equivalent
3. Locate the folder "title" and open it

FOR SPLASH PICTURE:
a. Copy "mojang.png" to your my pictures folder
b. Edit it in your favorate image editor (Make shure that you keep the dimentions the same)
c. Save the file when finished
d. Drag and drop the file back to the root file (AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar\title)
e. Overwrite the original "mojang.png" with your one
f. Run Minecraft
My one, for example, looked like this:

FOR TEXT:

Nope

With the most recent update, editing the Splashes.txt file isn't as simple as that anymore. Any edit done to it causes an alteration in the size of the file. Somehow they've managed to make sure MC checks that, and if it's not 4,043 (2178 packed), the splash shows up as "MISSINGNO"
Even changing one character in the text file causes this to happen now.
Editing the mojang splash logo is still do-able though.

Yes

It works, just delete the META-INF folder.

In there is the stuff that check that all the files are the same.
This is why every mod tells you to delete it to install it.
