We have decided to allow some trusted users the privilege to patrol the WoM servers without being Staff.
They will be able to use special commands to patrol, monitor, listen and report to WM and Staff about issues on Realms and SMP. They can not ban, kick or silence.
For example:
On SMP they can set there gamemode to creative. Allowing them the privilege to fly\teleport (If they are caught abusing the power, it will be removed from them).
Notes:
If you are caught and they report you with probable cause you will be dealt the punishment by Staff or WM.
Soooooo from now on, think twice before you do something wrong... *shifty eyes* stares at you Hallyn... because WoM Server Patrols latest member RyanKnack will haunt you *insert spooky noise*.....

It is not a staff position. So no name change or anything like that, just a trusted position to use commands to help catch griefers and rule breakers.

Great idea. Can I just ask how do we get this position. I would like to help catch griefers and everything. Am I trusted or not? I am on WoM Realms a lot about 5-6 hours a day or more. Not so much on Smp, but I still go on there. :)

Like Mou has written, its is given to the trusted members of the community. I can not base a judgement on if you are trusted or not, but you seem like a nice guy. But yeah, its for those who are trusted.

We're not actively seeking WoM Patrol members and we will give the responsiblity to people who we see fit.

Who are the people? When does it take place? Whos choosing? And if its not working, how are greifers supposed to be on at the time?

You dont realy need to know who they are.. They have chosen few already. They are chosen by staff... Their job is to help Staff.. So i think it will help keeping the servers clean.

I am on WoM Realms alot and have seen alot of spamming, griefing, bad language while their are no staff online, and <WM> is busy. It really irritates me because their is nobody to stop them. Hopefully this position will decrease the number of griefers e.t.c

it isnt something that you sign up for, you only get it if you are one of the people that the admins know and trust the most, otherwise it would be everyone signing up for it and it would be chaos

2. In SMP you would be able to see them Fly, otherwise they are just normal players.
3. In SMP they are allowed to Fly, otherwise still the same. If someone is abusing then you should post here.

People should stop asking for patrol because you wont get it. Only if one of the owners decide you are trusted then you can be one. As Lunick said we can still help by telling them who is causing trouble.
