You can also make a block of pure diamond in the same way that you would gold or iron.

Makes a hoe. Right click on grass to get seeds and to make the ground fertile. Plant the seeds and get (duh) plants. Hoe them near water and you get moist fertile ground. Perfect conditions!

Dude, we got the idea with the first time you said it. The next million were both overkill and annoying. Yes, minecraftwiki is taking forever to respond. No, this does not give you the right to go up your own ass about it. Just type "minecraft recipes" or whatever into google, it doesn't take a genius to work that one out.
