Ok, as promised in my last video, I do a run-through of the texture and environment support and how it works.
Remember to go into the video and like it, Thanks!
While World of Minecraft Realms will have the environment config generation integrated into the site, so each user can set their own environments from their realm control panel, it will also be possible for you to make your own config for your server.
There's a complete set of instructions for the configuration of a server over at http://files.worldofminecraft.com/textures.php
Yes thanks.
Another thing, In that video a user uploaded their environment options, obviously but does those options (fog colour etc) only change for that user ?
If not would there some feature (server side) that forces the client to download that servers texture pack... for Theme build or role play servers that would be a great idea, just sayin.
we know you're a coder and all, so i didnt understand a single thing bout this :P
I don't get any of this even through the explaination in the video. If u don't mind, can you explain to me how to do it? That would be much appreciated.
This is a wonderful improvement!
I can't wait to try out some new textures and the environment.side feature. I've created a config.txt on my own domain following all the instructions and examples, but it didn't work. So I made it a duplicate of my Map Configuration file and uploaded it in place of the one I made.
I can't get either of them to work. Where do I put the "&fcfg=mydomain.com/config.txt"? I tried the Direct Connect URL on the first window of the World of Minecraft Client (mc://69.72.227.34:25575/Le_Joueur/5da41dd2b5dfabcc462f54744b37632b&fcfg=MYDOMAINHERE.com/config.txt); it only had the Client hang during the "Connect.." screen. I tried the Go! URL on the bottom of the "Select a Server" window after signing into the World of Minecraft Client (http://www.minecraft.net/play.jsp?server=5da41dd2b5dfabcc462f54744b37632b&fcfg=costumentality.com/config.txt) with the same result. I even tried this last URL on Minecraft.net; it simply generated a single player level.
So how do I use the "&fcfg=MYDOMAINHERE.com/config.txt" to change my Map Configuration file?
Fang
triddin says it goes in the server description of the server, yet my server's description does not accept things like that.
So were do i upload the texture file?
If you head over to http://files.worldofminecraft.com/textures.php there's a detailed guide on the setup of this functionality.
i want other servers to have my texture but i dont know how.
I noticed that World of Minecraft realms (my realm) texture pack is also open in other servers, but i dont want that texture pack, i want the other which isnt f-up.
What i want:
My texture pack on other servers (maybe somewhere in the files there is a MC classic.jar or so) without the others notice it.
Can u help me?
