So, I haven't played Minecraft in forever. Today, I wanted to play to see all the updates and stuff I haven't seen yet (which is like... all of them >_>;). However,the game is unplayable due to the game being crazy slow. I have no idea why it's so slow. I have fog on the highest setting and it still lags up for me.

I have two messenger programs running in the background when I play. I'm also running the game with the offline client.

I don't think it's my laptop, because I can run other games fine. What's really weird is that I can run Creative mode just fine, even online with friends.
