Ok, at the moment the login system seems to be not working.
The admins have been informed about this and work is being done on it.
Just hang on and it should all be sorted out.
Ordering the coders to work faster is not going to solve anything.

Not only hace I not been able to login today, but in previous months I have not been able to get onto World of Minecraft: Realms; It tells me I am not valid. I've tried clicking and unclicking the valid box; no difference.

I cannot use World of Minecraft currently and I saw that a lot of people on here are having the same issue: "Unable to Authenticate." Here is a possible fix for you guys.
Run World of Minecraft 2.0.5 as administrator, and use a mc direct link to connect.
You will get into the server with hacks turned on.
It worked for me, when in a normal case i would get the authentication error.

This has already been said multiple times by multiple people in this topic. So for you lazy people who cannot be bothered to read a topic before complaining on it:
The login for the client is broken at the moment, we have suspicions that this is because minecraft.net may have changed how their login system works.
You CAN still get onto servers with the client, but only if you have the direct connect URL for them(or if it was the last server you visited, click the resume button)
If you are so desperate that you cannot go for 1 day without playing minecraft, you can still play through minecraft.net.
Otherwise, you can just wait patiently for the client to be fixed.
And no, we are not going to go find direct connect URLs for a load of servers just because you cannot be bothered to look. Try searching to see if that server has a website.

Why not dedicate some time to redesign the entire login usage as direct connect has been flawed from the beginning. I'd say add the option to save important information after joining a server so direct connect is actually usable rather than checking for alternate methods to use it correctly.

Just thought that I would repeat(because some people are managing to miss the original post) that the client's list is broken at the moment, this means that you cannot log in.
You can still use the client with direct connect or with the resume button.
I will be trying to keep you all updated about this if/when I find out anything about it.
In the mean time, if you can't get direct connect to work, you can still play the game through http://www.minecraft.net/

You might see Lunick saying that the owners had been informed, then later I said that the owners had been informed and work was being done on it.
One thing which people need to realise, is that the admins cannot spend all of their time on this, they have jobs to do and lives to live, and maybe even families, who knows. World of Minecraft is just a hobby and they get no money out of it.

The issue is Mojang's again, some servers are not showing up on the server list and it is up to them to fix this problem. It is also noteworthy to say that Tobias (Moillstam) hasn't tweeted for a while.

Just in case anyone hasn't realised yet, you can still get onto servers using the direct connect function of the client.
If you are trying to connect to World of Minecraft:Realms, do it like this:

Then scroll down until you see this: http://screensnapr.com/v/PJVOpC.jpg
(with your username)
Right click it and select copy link address: http://screensnapr.com/v/dW60bw.jpg
Then paste that into the direct connect box, then click go and it will hopefully take you to the server

Notice the <input> field that is named "authenticityToken", it wasn't there before. It's the change that made World of Minecraft fail to log in.
In order to fix it you have to change World of Minecraft source code, so that it:
1) reads www.minecraft.net/login webpage,
2) extracts authenticityToken from the stream,
3) uses authenticityToken in POST method(in method: private boolean validateLogin(String s, String s1, ServerTable servertable) that is in ServerDialog.java),
4) works well again!!!

I too have been having this issue for about a week or so. But in the meantime just go to minecraft.net and play through there. No fun not having the hacks to help or movements but it will bring you to your servers if you really need to go to them.

I spent the last few hours debugging the issue. I discovered a flaw with our system. I have since fixed the problem and currently working on a way to prevent this from happening in the future.
