Hey there bros and bro-ettes, I really enjoy making skins. Right now I'm taking requests, and I'm willing to draw up anything, in any style that you want.

Those are two pictures of a skin I made in MSPaint and previewed in SkinEdit. It's Megaman Volnutt from Megaman Legends 2, if you couldn't catch that. There's a million different versions of this skin I have, so if you want to see all of it just throw me a message and I'll send you a ton of pics, and I'll even give you some of them if you want one.

At the moment I can't buy the full version of Minecraft, so I can't even wear the skins I make.
So, if you really like the skin I make you, just throw a dollar or two at my Paypal:

Of course, it's okay if you don't, but I'd really appreciate it, because I really want to wear a skin with this talent of mine, I just don't have the extra cash laying around for it.

Here's the V for Vendetta

Here's the preview of the V for Vendetta skin, I sent the skin PNG to your email. The cape just couldn't be done, and the hat was pretty difficult but I'd say it turned out pretty good. If you want the hat removed I can edit it a bit, so just let me know.
ps- loved the movie, hopin' to check out the graphic novel pretty soon

Gettin' started on that soldier skin, now!

Oh, yeah, SkinEdit is a program that lets you wrap the skin around the character model without actually applying it. I don't have the client atm, and even that won't let you wear a skin without buying Alpha, I think.
So I can't wear any of the skins I make- that's why I was panhandling earlier. ^^;

As for advice on making good skins...hm.
Well, it helps to have some decent spriting experience. If you know where the different parts go and how they line up, it's really easy to visualize how the end result will look (which is vital for me because my previewer refuses to load sometimes!)
What I did to start out was I grabbed the default skin.PNG file and used it for a template just to know where things go.
From there, once you know where the parts go, it's just like drawing a sprite.

I may start up a tutorial here soon, walking through a step by step tutorial on making a skin.
