Single Player hacks (or) saving problem

I am trying to play single player with the client. I have working hacks when the client first starts, but if I try to save the game, it doesn't save anything. If I either load a saved game or generate new level, it will then allow me to save the game, but my hacks stop working.
Any idea what is causing this?

why not just download this
why not just download this client twice.
one for singleplayer and saves.
and one for multiplayer, is it makes sense somehow?

I almost never play
I almost never play multiplayer. :/ If I could get it to save singleplayer, I wouldn't need the second client anyway.

Well what I think is happening, is that you start the client up and do offline single player mode. Which the Client can do. But cannot save. because when you save the game, It actually becomes a real gamesave, in which the hacks cant be used on. If that makes no sense, i'll try to explain it better...
The client is Modifying Minecraft.jar so it works without saving. When saved, the client can no longer modify minecraft.jar, because.. well Im not quite sure. :P
That's pretty much my theory..
