Hello All!
The Server will be coming down in roughly 30 minutes from when this post is on the front page. These changes will take time so the server could be up and down a lot during this time.
Some planned Changes & Additions to the SMP Server:
- PvP Map moved to another server (Same Map)
- Updated and Improved Creative to its Live State
- Reset Creative Servers Map
- Lowered Teleport delay
- Updated Plugins
- All Servers running on updated Software
- Changed IRC Plugin.
- Added Science (Interserver portals)
- Moved player PvP Inventories to the PvP Server.
- Simple Clans is back!
This update is aimed to help fix a lot of issues and increase server performance by splitting up the maps and the back end files.
More informing as this proccess unfolds
Any questions, just post in the thread and either me or a staff member will answer .
#Update: Backups were made, data was moved around. Servers Should be operational before the weekend is over. Its a matter of sorting through the plugins and putting data in the right place.
#Update2: Due to extra issues, PvP has not been brought online yet but SMP is still going strong!

This will hopefully solve quite a few problems, like people teleporting away from fights in pvp, and the lack of mobs in smp. Only way to know is to wait till it's done so we can all see.

few questions, sounds fun, what are the simple clans? Will the science portal thingys make it so that we can move m p to smp without exiting and joining the other server?Same thing with creative? And do the plugin updates have any major changes? Will the mob arenas work now?

Im assuming this will take a while. Are we talking a few hours? As long as everything is fixed, take as long as you need.

Simple clans just meaning it's a simple clans plugin. You can make/join clans. And possible get a clan home. Science portals would mean you can move between the servers without logging out and back in, but instead by going through a portal. Most of the plugin updates will probably have a slim/almost unnoticable effect on you guys, so i wouldn't worry about that.
@Super I would guess 1 hour minimum, to anywhere in the next 48 hours. Meaning i have no idea. Just have to wait and see.
If anyone else has questions, ask them here, or go ask on womirc for a faster (and probably more correct) answer

Clans you had before will no be active. Ender chests will probably be moved.

Report update, just to say Snow, I tested the plugin simpleclans and all the command is different now, which means all the /clans probably wont work since in the game it said unknown command, then I looked in teh console no errors then I looked in the bukkit plugins area and it was in there the folder and everything the only thing different with that update they did with SimpleCLans is they renamed the folder to:
SimpleClans2
It makes me think they edited it a lot that's probably why they haven't edited all the other versions because they was to busy re writing the code.

i think they mean that you cant use /smp to get away anymore when your in pvp.

thats when you add the plugin that kills you when you log out.or you can install one that once your in combat a "invisable force field" so to say prevents you from going back into spawn.

@iusedapick with no warps or smp, there would be nowhere to teleport to. If logging out to avoid fights, becomes a problem, the combat logging plugin could solve that.

grime had a problem with someone using ivis potion to stalk him and kill his wolves as he traveled and open and close his doors and such. I think Grime doesn't want to be stalked in the future.
