hey, I'm having trouble logging into the World of Minecraft Game Client login, it keeps coming up with ' can't authenticate username/password', but the username and password are correct and i've double checked....can anyone help me out?

First off, what Java version are you using? World of Minecraft Client is not compatible with Java 7, so you may need to downgrade if that's the issue.
If Java's not the problem, I suggest downloading this unofficial fix:

Is it just a alternative to client, or does it attach itself to the World of Minecraft client?

1: Use the direct connect box instead of login. It will always work as long as you input the right info in the right order. I suggest youtube videos to help you on that.
2: Download XWOM, a 3rd party alternative that is in the active topics section. Its new 1.7 version now fixes the whole changed heartbeat thing and ive been able to login for 3 days straight now. Its just like World of Minecraft except you walk a tad bit faster with hacks on. And there are more options like connecting to a local server with the new 1.7 version. I would suggest this solution its easy and all you have to do with it is drag the client(XWOM) into your folder that holds your World of Minecraft. Run it and tada it should work.

@liquid_lightning I dont know how to answer that. Its not a patch so I guess its a standalone, but i assure you that you wont get any viruses. To use it you need World of Minecraft, so you just drag the downloaded XWOM into your World of Minecraft folder so it can use those files. So maybe it isnt supported by World of Minecraft, but its uses the files and needs World of Minecraft downloaded on your computer. So i guess you can say it attaches to World of Minecraft.But you'd just click on XWOM instead of World of Minecraft to play. The interface is exactly like World of Minecraft just upgraded and of course, fixed.]
P.S: As of November 3rd, 11:25 am, Minecraft.net is down so no logins.

I am not sure how simple this is, but I can not for the life of me find a direct connect url. Help?

Do this and you can just keep hitting resume for that server.Also if you have changed servers and don't feel like going to get the url again for a server, save it in wordpad But some servers change their mppass(watch video to understand what I'm talking about) daily and require you to get a new url.
I HIGHLY SUGGEST you just try the 3rd party alternative i suggested. Its less stress on you, just get it. Its the same thing as World of Minecraft just it actually works. Same fullscreen thing and all that.

Just download Xwom and run it that's how u use it. World of Minecraft should change to World of Minecraft.old and then just use xwom from there on out. Direct connect will be too hard to use.

Yes but it's not the real World of Minecraft. World of Minecraft does not host it.

sorry theres nothing to do with World of Minecraft client but theres a little tip if ur World of Minecraft client has say resume then u can press it then enjoy!
