Hi I am Max and I am new to Minecraft on the PC.

I downloaded Windows 10 beta, but want to use Minecraft forge and mods.

Can I use Forge with Windows 10 beta, and if not is there a version I can download that will work with Windows 10 that I can use mods in?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Well, Windows 10 Minecraft is

Well, Windows 10 Minecraft is a Windows version of pocket edition, so not compatible with PC edition, but with PE. However, Microsoft developed this app with Xbox Live in mind. This game you can sign in to your Xbox Live account, and play with Xbox One users. So, realizing that it is a remake of PE with Xbox Live capabilities, you would have to find a program for Windows 10, (Android PE; Blocklauncher, PC; Forge, Voidlauncher. Not sure about other versions, but you could google it.)I don't really know of a program for Windows 10, but this is all I have to offer.

Conclusion: Forge will not work because MC W10 Beta is formatted differently than PC. There may be other programs that I do not know about, but I'll massage you with the link.

The Windows 10 Edition

The Windows 10 Edition currently does not support modding. However you can still use the regular PC version, which can still be modded.

It's unknown if the Windows 10 Edition will ever support modding, or if it will ever support multiplayer with the PC version. We can only hope, I guess.

Windows 10 will most likely

Windows 10 will most likely never support modding. I messaged Whitishpuddle52 and told him that, "Windows 10 will probably never support modding because Microsoft programmed it with C++ script, which is less reverse engineer-able than JavaScript, the script used to program PC and PE." So I know that unless some programmer comes up with a launcher that can mod C++, then it will be almost impossible.

Sorry

The PC version is programmed in Java, not Javascript. The difference is huge.

Also, whether the Win10 version will support modding or not depends entirely on if the devs will add support for it. Even if C++ prevents it, they could still add support for addons/plugins/mods written in a language like Lua.

If you haven't bought it yet,

If you haven't bought it yet, you can buy it right here. If you've already bought it, you can download the launcher here.
