Is anyone going to be going out for a specific biome? Any favorites were hell bent on settling into? I'm going for a mesa.

Call me old fashioned but I want a nice big plains. One with a lot of hourses and animals about I hope :D

Here is a list of all the biomes in the game, if anyone needs it.
I'll be going for a Mega Taiga next to a Deep Ocean, hopefully with the Stone Beach technical biome inbetween.
Also, I see no such thing as a "Black Mesa" biome. Unless you mean the Bryce Mesa
...Or the research facility.

I'm going to be getting a canyon biome. they just look so awesome.
EDIT: Apparently Canyons don't exist. Going for the bryce mesa now. Unfortunately they're super rare :/

I like the Roofed Forest & Mega Taiga best so I'll be trying for either of those. They are both excellent for tree houses.

I'll go for any flat biome to make my almost-every survival item sorter. and to place my house for the build move. But I kinda want a mesa but more flatish. if not then a plains.

I am thinking either a mostly flat forest biome, plains, or savanah. Just want a decent sized river nearby for fishing and to build my city's dock next to.

I'm rather excited about the flower updates, so I would like to find a Sunflower plains, near a river and roofed forest if possible, or maybe a flower forest. I think the Mesa's are pretty cool as well, but I prefer having plains and forests around to make more of a lodge look for my home.

You know the thought just occurred to me, with World Edit, i might just be able to make your Black (clay) Mesa biome ;-)
Where i really want to live is in a large mushroom island in which i will replace most of the mycellium with grass or pozdol and plant trees of all kinds :D. Even if it means lots of terraforming, i get the look of different biomes, but no mobs! :) Perfect.
I also hope to make an amusement park for visitors. A volcano, a rollercoaster(or two, or three!), a mini rollercoaster for mobs, A GIANT giant mushroom, maybe statues of things like cows or chickens... any other suggestions? Also, how do we feel about TerraLand as a name? Anyone have a better idea?

I love the amusement park idea. You could include a maze, archery range (saw a cool one where you shot falling chickens) and a haunted house. Maybe some kind of speed game using buttons and pressure plates. I have also seen a riddle game where you try to get to the end and pull levers for answers. Right opens door forward, wrong drops you down a level to try again.
