We are finally ready so lets get down to business!
The Details
Every player is entitled to an item transfer, but the catch is that the items wont be transferred until the build moves kick off.
To make things easier, here is a timeline of what is happening:
- When 1.7 is stable, early access will kick off for those who did not submit a build move
- Once early access is over (1 week) the 1.7 server is opened to the public and buildmoves kick off
- Items stored in the transfer signs get transferred from 1.6.4 to 1.7
- Build moves will be ongoing
- Once the Items are transferred there will be no more transferring from 1.6.4 smp to 1.7 smp. (So make sure you get your things into the item transfer chest before the early access week is up)

Please note if you input the wrong information you will need to contact a staff member to change your request.
Since we are only transferring one chest per person, containers within your build will not retain their items.
Additionally containers will end up facing incorrect directions as part of the build move.

You will find signs around the spawn of the 1.6.4 SMP server spawn(see below) that will store your items for the transfer

Do we need to sign up to be registered for early access?

@kork, anybody can get the early access when it's avaliable. It's going to be an in game command that anyone can use. However, anybody that uses the command will forfit their build move, even if they requested one.
@effusion, either is fine. A range is probably easiest if there is a lot of underground stuff. However most of the staff members are pretty smart, and can figure out where the whole build is just from 1 set of coords.

I am just taking early acess since everything I built in 1.6 was easly rebuilt. I am so excited to get in there and find a good plot to start building :) I think 1.7 will be steampunk themed for me. Epic builds and airships really can't wait :D

Definitely going early. We can rebuilt it, we have the technology.

After the first month or so, the most rarest thing people will have is going to be good realestate. So people who go early will have a major advantage to claim great land, which they can then sell for a ton later on if they want.

There will be a post as soon as the server is ready for early access. Hopefully even a few days before it actually goes up so the most people who want early access will be able to get in right when it opens.

Ahhh that didn't take long. :L Was hoping nobody would mess up until we worked out a better way for this. Hmmm. Just pm me the actual coords and I'll see to it that it gets fixed.

How do we do this?
Do we need to do this before the update?

Step 1, You go on the 1.6.4 server.
Step 2, You get the items you want on the new map in your inventory.
Step 3, You right click the sign at spawn, and put those item in the Vault that pops up.
Step 4, Wait till the 1.7.2 server opens for early access.
OPTIONAL STEPS ONLY IF YOU DO NOT NOT WANT TO GO THE WEEK EARLY, AND YOU WANT A BUILD MOVED
Step 4, Go find the build you want moved.
Step 5, Press f3 to get the x,y, and z coordinates.
Step 6, Click the build move link in the original post. Or HERE
Step 7, Put the coordinates in their correct boxes
Step 8, Wait till the 1.7.2 server opens till the general public.

No.. Only the items you place into the vault go to the new map. That's the point of the vault.

Yes. But you won't be able to get the items till the first week. Any time during the first week, anybody who joins will start with nothing. They won't be able to get their items until the week is up.

Official word is Soon(tm). We (and by we I mean server monkey Snows) would love to upgrade to 1.7.4 ASAP, but Bukkit is taking forever to upgrade.

I understand the build moves and the fact that only one chest is gonna get transferred for one person. But is it normal for the server not to be working right now, or is it just me? I need to get on in order to check my coordinates, so when is that gonna be possible?

Server should be working fine, make sure you're in 1.6.4!

HELP
I've restarted minecraft, and now i can't access the World of Minecraft Server.
I want to transfer my build along with supplies etc.
Is it possible to find out where I last logged out? Because that's where the house I want to transfer is.

Define "Cant access". What is the error you are getting?

When you launch the minecraft launcher, right before you hit play there should be an edit profile button, click that and it will say use version, you will know what to do there.

Any news or progress on 1.7 World of Minecraft yet? As in has anybody heard if the bukkit is close to being done at all?

Things are progressing nicely towards our first development build of CraftBukkit for Minecraft 1.7.2. Although this update did not provide or add as much feature-wise as previous Minecraft updates have, this is probably one of the more complicated and larger updates we've had to work with from a mod development standpoint. With "almost all of [the code in Minecraft] having been changed - be it little or big" (according to Mojang), there has been significant shifting around of code and logic - to the estimated tune of ~220k lines changed - within Minecraft, resulting in our slowest and most involved update yet.

For the build moves, do you want coordinates to be ranges?? Or will you take the whole claimed plot? I have a bunch of underground workings under my house.
