1.I want to smelt items, but I have no furnace, how do I make one?
2. Whenever I hit and break rocks, nothing comes out. Is this a glitch?

You have to hold down the house button to get bricks. It isn't instant like creative, or there would be no difficulty. Hodl down the button and let the cracks form

why: .dat isnt what indev uses its .mclevel
and you can make your own .mclevel with Omen070

To make a furnace, you need a workbench. then get 8 cobblestone and place it on the workbench all around the middle square, but not in it. Here is a list from Wiki.

Rocks do not drop anything unless you break them with a pickaxe.
