Hi guys,

So unless you've been living in a cave for the last year or so (and if you have you have my sympathy) you will have no doubt seen people posting "new minecraft survival series" on a regular basis and if you've taken the time to check them out you will have realised they're all very similar and most of the time the commentator just rambles on about nothing while playing the game.

Frankly I'm kinda tired of seeing this so a little over a month ago I started a YouTube channel with the intention of gaming without commentary. Sort of taking a step back to what YouTube gaming was four or five years ago and I'd like to know if you think that this is a format that could work or is it too dated an idea for people to care.

I'll include links to a couple of the videos (Minecraft obviously) so you can see what I'm talking about. I'd really like to hear your thoughts on the idea and at the very least thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Yes they can babble all about nothing.

You can talk about what your doing now or what plans you have. Maybe give some game tips for what your doing now or what you know! Then there the silent treatment of old, commentaryless! Just like back in the days of silent YouTube.

Leave them alone.

The only way they are even get views is if they advertise their channel at least a little bit, and given the size of our community, this is a great place.

They want to do it.

They do it because it's fun. They don't all do it for money... When you LIKE to commentate you will find yourself looking for games and maps to commentate on a lot. I'm a commentator and I enjoy making these types of videos because sometimes funny things can come up on games and maps... PewDiePie for example... 1,271 videos (currently) of almost ALL commentaries! I don't think someone like that is just doing it all for money... You can tell he enjoys doing what he loves doing... I guess if you don't like commentaries all you can do it click away...

Also...

Datz some epic pixel art.... Keep it up! Subscribed and liked! My only tip is fix up the video quality and resolution... Get rid of the black lines and make it 1080/720p HD... Keep up the good work!

A clarification and a thank you...

I would just like to explain my original post a little more clearly as I feel I didn't give my view in the most coherent way.

When I said "I'm kinda tired of seeing this" I was talking about the commentary style that I personally feel is better suided to a vlog than a gaming video. People have taken my oringal post as my way of asking people to stop posting links to their videos when in reality I love to see people who are proud of their work and want to share it with everyone (and if you do have gaming videos on YouTube let me know because I'm more than happy to check them out).

Also I would like to say thank you to eSperViper for viewing and subscribing (it's very much apreciated) and I'm working on uping the video quality of newer vidoes but the editing software I'm using at the moment isn't the best so for now I'm having to do the best I can with what I have.
