Anything above 1.7.2 won't load correctly for me

So i have updated my java and drivers about 10 times now, deleted and reinstalled minecraft many times also, but whenever i run anything over 1.7.2 all i get is this(pic related). I can click where i know the buttons are located, but then it all goes black. buttons can still be clicked but nothing ever shows up. would anyone know how to solve this or do i need a new computer. thanks

don't maximize
Hey Kork,
perhaps not maximize the minecraft window, try to play it in is original window-size. Perhaps your graphic-card is to old?

i guess i need a new pc
playing with it minimized doesn't work, and it's a laptop so no way to upgrade it. I guess it's finally time for me to invest in a good pc

try updating your graphics drivers. if you have built in graphics then get an actual card
