Looking to purchase for my son but we are having a problem with the free, classic program. From what I can find, looks like my mouse is losing focus as it will bring up the menu at times when we click on the mouse. Is there a chance he'll still have this problem when we purchase the full copy or is it entirely different?

I'll try changing the control buttons but I don't think that's it since it works for a minute or two and then starts getting buggy.

It depends on the specs of your system. Be sure to have the correct version of Java installed for your system (i.e. If you have a 32-bit system, you should have 32-bit Java). Also check to make sure that your video card drivers are up-to-date.
Additionally, both of you will need individual paid accounts to be able to play together via LAN, if that's what you're intending to do.

When you open up the menu try changing the controls. Opening the menu may be set to one of the mouse buttons. And yes, if you purchase him the game it shouldn't be like this. It is practically an entirely different game.
