Black screen on login

Hey guys, as soon as I sign in and select a server, the client opens up and gives me a black screen, and then crashes.
What could be the problem, and how could I fix it?

Hi,
Well this used to happen to me once and a while. I believe that this is due to either internet connection or having to many windows open at once. Basically, when you open it up be patient and wait, do this when you have no other windows open.

Maybe it is your java. Here's what you might want to do.
On Windows XP/Vista/7 Click the "Start" button, the one in the bottom right. Then, click "Control Panel". Next click "Programs" Then "Programs and Features". Now, look for "Java(TM) 6 Update 24" And right click it, and "Uninstall" it. Then, Look for any other java updates, like "Java(TM) 6 Update _" And uninstall those too. Next, restart your computer. Finally, go to... Here, and download the latest java. Hope this helps!
