Just so everyone knows, Withers can now be spawned in the End.
I would just like to state now: Just because you spawn the wither does not mean you are entitled to the Nether Star. Whomever gets the Nether Star gets to keep it. No matter what. If it falls into the void, the staff will not spawn another one. This is the only warning about the nether star. If problems arise, we will re-block wither spawning everywhere.

pls no witheroni grieferoni. If you spawn a Wither next to an Ender Ender, any XP lost will be deducted from your account.

I would just avoid making an Ender Ender.. considering Withers attack Endermen, and will most likely go attack the endermen in the ender ender if they run out of other. So.. Make sure you turn off your ender ender when not in use I guess?

What if I want to spawn a Wither but keep it alive as a pet, and then someone else kills my Wither.

But since Ender Enders aren't a good idea anymore that means that I have to do a Nether Pig.

I guess you theoretically could make an ender ender that was far away from the main land. I have no idea what the wither's max follow distance is. So it just might be risky.
@artbot your best bet would be to name it with a nametag, and then constantly build a cage around it 24/7 as it destroys it.

Just make it over 1k blocks from the end. That way, both the end and the enderender, and everything inbetween won't be rendered. Atlas 488 blocks (16 chunks) should be open at a 1k distance. It's still possible. If you really care, just make it 2k or more.
Also, someone should build a floating cage maybe 1k blocks from the end of a lot of obsidian, so that people don't have to have a destroyed end.
Or, staff can make it out of bedrock.
But, can't people grief via wither? (Go to a Build, spawn wither nearby... (Out of claim)) Would it be traced?

No it wouldn't be traced. Which is why withers can only be built in the end, where we recommend people don't build things in the first place. Plus there's always a chance that in the future we regenerate the end for another enderdragon.
