Can't reach server?

I've been trying to connect for over an hour right now..

Still, my client keeps saying "Can't reach server".

Whenever I try to join, it just says Connection Timed Out: connect.

Followed advice on IRC to try it on the game on minecraft.net itself, still its showing "Can't reach server".

Can someone help me with this? I also have tried to constantly push the Refresh button, didn't help...

Started today. My computer simply can't connect to the server, it times out if I try to ping it through CMD

Server seems back for me. I wonder what could have caused the disconnection..
