Client help!!!!

I have downloaded the client/launcher for minecraft so I am not forced to play in browser but i have to open my downloads list and reopen every time. Is there any type of icon that can directly open up the game client instead of going to website and redownloading?

I Think if thats your problem, then there is a file called "run.bat". Just double-click it and you can play
