Okay, so I got me and my friend Minecraft today on the PC. We've been trying to figure out how to play together in a server ALL DAY. Just when I think I finally get it she can't connect. I was able to successfully make a server and go into it, but whenever I give her my IP (192.16 this is just part of it, not to give out full IP ) she can't connect. I had her download the Mulitplayer link on the Minecraft site as well and it won't work. I can play in the server I made, and she can't join it. Can anyone PLEASE help us?

Silly, 192.* is your internal ip, http://www.whatismyip.com/ (this will tell you your external ip) that is the ip you need to give your friend or anyone else that wishes to connect to your server. Make sure you port forward!

weird, I gave her that same number too and it still didn't let her connect. It's just I was watching tons of videos on youtube and they were using that number with the 192.

You need to setup port forwarding.

Use google to learn how to port forward. If you can't figure out how to do so, just use hamachi.

Is the IP you are using a static IP? If not, then you need to set one up for her to connect.
