Just going to let you know,

Just going to let you know, infdev is NOT infinite by any means. The level loops and it's relatively small in comparison to the suggested TBs it was to take up.

Infdev replacing Indev

The maker says infdev will replace indev in the future.
So far infdev has far more stuff in it such as a couple more crafting items, going to have new enemies, also has updated water.

Its worth to buy it to do stuff like this.

I tweeted Notch a while ago

I tweeted Notch a while ago regarding the /indev/ and /infdev/ states.

He replied (I felt lucky) to confirm that /indev/ is getting replaced by /infdev/. From his reply, and the current state of his progression, I can safely assume that he's not going to touch /indev/ at all now that /infdev/ has progressed at an alarming rate.

The more you know (:

     Yeah, a map cannot be

Yeah, a map cannot be infinite becase no computer has infinite memory.  But I agree with Calyster Solaris.  It's so big, you don't even care if it's infinite;  you would get killed by a spider or something before you could even see the border.
