Hello everyone,
I have version 1.5.2 . Bought it in June 2012. I read about the update 1.6.2 and that I need the new launcher. I download it, clicked the exe. file and started it. It offers to let me play demo. I did, and nothing else. Trying to update with new launcher after logging in and not an option.
Seems strange, so my questions are; Do I have to pay again to play 1.6.2? What am I doing wrong on downloading/ updating the game. Am I experienceing a glitch?

I did this. Says you need new "Minecraft Launcher". I download launcher click the RUN button, it loads and asks for email or username. I use my username and password and new screen pops up. Has grey bottom with New Profile, Edit Profile, Play Demo, and Log Out buttons. Main screen shows blue words "Minecraft 1.6.2, I click on words and it opens my browser and loads a page with Minecraft news - Minecraft 1.6.2 - This update fixes a lot of bugs and issues! etc....... . Click on words and nothing happens.

After the username and password, click the new profile button. Should create a profile with your username.

Help............. not working . I now have two profiles.
tab 'Update Notes' shows link for Minecraft 1.6.2
tab ' Development Consule' last lines say ..
logging in with username & password
refreshing auth.........
Logging in with access token
tab 'Profile Editor' shows (version name) two profiles
(Version) Latest version
(Username) Not logged in
can only play the demo.

You do not need to pay again. Make sure you have the correct username and password in the 1.6.2 client.
