Dwarf Fortress

a game about building a fortress of, you guessed it dwarfs. The goal of the game is to manage the dwarfs, assign them tasks for the betterment of the group ( or not ) keep them happy and well fed and above all, rich.

The game plays with a top down view with the world divided into layers called z-levels you are somewhat of an omnipresent god with the ability to pause time to set up commands for your small bearded creatures.

So, now that you know what Dwarf Fortress is about I must ask you a question. Would you be interested in participating in a succession game? Each person would be required to run the fortress for a year maybe two, each person could do whatever they want with the fortress so long as it doesn't A. Destroy the fortress directly or B. Destroy the work of previous player without reason. After that they upload the save, the next player then takes it up and the cycle continues. Please note we will be playing a slightly less current version of dwarf fortress, only because it is slightly less complex than the current version.

I am willing to accept even the most noobiest of players but you will need to have a basic knowledge of how to play otherwise you will just doom the fortress for everyone else which, although fun, is rather annoying. There are plenty of resources about learning to play of which the two most important are the Newby Tutorial which will guide you step by step to the setup of your first fortress and the second is the Wiki which has all the information you could ever need just make sure you are looking at the information for version 40d.

Once you know how to play please make a post stating your interest in joining the succession game, I'm looking for around 4-5 players but more would be great, but please note that no matter the number of players I will just be going through the list so its first come first up to play and once we run out of people the list will restart from the top.
