Hello everyone,

I've been playing World of Minecraft for a while now, but won't be able to get on for a while because of an error message I keep getting whenever I try to connect to the SMP server (or HUB which I was on last after the SMP server went down on Mar. 26th). The message is:

Internal Exception: java.lang.classcastexception: bit cannot be cast to fm

I've looked on the forums, and even on the minecraftforums, but haven't had an answer to my problem. Apparently there are a few others encountering the same problem I am with no help on how to bypass it. I've even upgraded my Minecraft from 1.7.2 that I was using to 1.7.4 but then a new error came up:

Internal Exception: java.lang.classcastexception: bju cannot be cast to fm

Apparently this problem has only started to come about in 1.7.2 and beyond. If someone could find an answer, or has any tips, any kind of help would be appreciated. As for now, it looks like I'm stuck out of the server world...

Update

I think it might be a server issue as far as other people are saying. Something about me getting 'stuck' and my player dat. having to be erased or something to get me able to reconnect. I tried logging into another Bukkit server and it worked fine. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this issue though, and will still be looking up tips until I can find a way back into our server.

I'll have a look into it when I get home. What time zone are you in to make this easier?
I'm GMT 8+ I'll probably be able to help out from around 6pm my time unless snow can be on earlier

I too am getting the same issue.

Except mine says the same thing just with "bka" at the beginning. So I assume it is definitely a server problem. Just here to shed some light on what's going on with me. Also, it says there are 2 people on... that might help you out.

Terrasina was able to help us confirm that the .dat file is not the issue, We have a working theory on the issue but it's going to take some time to test.

Timezone

I'm on PST (Pacific Standard Time), but I see MrSnowGlobe on a lot, however; he's at work whenever I see him in chat.

I just logged on sucessfully today, and everything works fine now. I didn't do anything, I just waited 'till the next day (or 16hrs) and was finally able to log on. Not sure what that was about or what caused it, but it works fine now. :) Thanks for replying Spudsrus!

So, the issue from what we understand is a geographical connection issue.

The the route you're connection uses to send and receive data from our server may of been damaged or not functioning at 100%.

We think this is the best working theory because some users have been able to log in and others not at all. It leads us to believe that it's a connection issue somewhere along the line to our server, not from the server itself.

Sadly, this is one of the few issues we can not do anything about. All I can say is reboot your modem's to see if that resolves the issue

While we think we know the cause we still will Monitor the World of Minecraft Network closely.

Hope that makes sense!
