Error occurred while retrieving the servers list

Notice: There is a new Official WoM Client out (3.0) which addresses many issues.
Help when i open the xwom client and enter the server link and the click go, it tells me error occurred while retrieving the servers list and the title was IO error??? I have also read the forums where they say the minecraft.net could be overloaded when its not. It is perfectly fine when going by the website to play. i have also downloaded the new version of the client 2.0.9 when i was using the old one 2.0.8 pls help.....

Try using World of Minecraft on its own without the xwom wrapper.
