My son dropped the laptop while playing Minecraft.  The laptop still works but it will no longer open and run the Minecraft application. When you select run the laptop begins to run real slow, kind of locks up, and presents the following error message after a while.

an error occured while starting the application

%1 is not a valid win32 application.

It takes a long time for the laptop to become responsive again.  I assume something happened to the registry but don't have any idea of what the issue could be.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the application, created a new user on the laptop, it also won't run if you select the "play in browser" option.  Any ideas on how to fix would be great.  We have the game on the xbox, ipod, droid, but they also enjoy it on the pc.

Thanks,

Perhaps the RAM was damaged when the laptop was broken? When playing minecraft, The computer will select a percentage of RAM with which Minecraft is played on. So maybe that is the problem.
