So umm hi, whats up everybody! I Bought minecraft on xbox first and spent a few hours on it, but after being told how much better the PC version is I figured I might as well take a look..

So i'm almost totally new to this game, and not really sure what to do with myself.. i'm gonna check out the World of Minecraft servers once i've posted this and hopefully figure out what i'm doing!

Anybody care to help a newblet like me out? :)

welcome ElderlyCrab!

As a complete new minecrafter there are a lot to tell you.

Do u have basic experience with minecraft? Like mining blocks, crafting things, building? U tried the singleplayer mode? Discovered a first map?

Or u don't even know what this game is about? I don't know where to start telling u things

Yeah sorry my post was a

Yeah sorry my post was a little vague wasn't it lol. On the xbox version i've got the basics - go mine materials combine them at smelting thingy or crafting table for better items to go find better materials with so you can build cooler stuff!

But then people tell me you can build farms and grow plants and stuff and theres that nether world which seems pretty cool! So yeah i'm almost a complete noob and I hope that wasn't too vague still - i'll be sure to read through the wiki too!

Also - one of your staff Terrasina I believe was incredibly helpful when I first joined the server - offered me help almost straight away and everyone was very friendly! I Can see me liking this community! :)

Farming:

Craft yourself a hoe. Right click a dirt block that is within 4 blocks (horizontally) of a water block. Right click the farmland with seeds to plant wheat. The plants have very distinctive growing cycles. Wheat is fully grown when it starts to turn from it's light green color to more brownish tips.

You can do the same with carrots and potatoes. You know they are fully grown when they have little carrots or potatoes peeking out at the bottom.

Break the plant to harvest it.

Just study the minecraft wiki

Just study the minecraft wiki like a textbook. It has absolutely every piece of information you could ever want about the game both PC and XBox.
