Our sons kindle was faulty andbefore we return it they suggest to ask if anyone here can help with info to transfer all the minecraft world's he's built on it to the new one as this didn't happen on cloud data. Would be great if someone could help even if it's a no can do answer as he's gutted that he's losing them...did do a help please earlier but no replies.frown

I have no idea why Amazon would suggest you ask here, other than the fact that this happens to just be a community for people who play minecraft (mostly on the computer edition)

HOWEVER, I looked around a bit and found that the only way that people have managed to do it was to copy the world data over to a computer first. I'll copy and paste a few of the answers from here for you that should solve the problem.

"The method I describe above worked for us... not only for Minecraft but for a few other games as well. The Minecraft worlds are located in "...games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds" on the Kindle Fire. All I did was copy the entire Kindle directory from the old Kindle Fire into a new folder on my laptop, then after downloading Minecraft onto the new Kindle Fire, copy the entire folder called "minecraftWorlds" from the old Kindle Fire (from the new folder you created on your computer) onto the new Kindle Fire into the folder "...games\com.mojang\". Hope that's clear enough!"

"Transferring the "...games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds" to the PC is easy, yet to tranfer the games to a brand new Kindle can be a problem. The new Kindle will not have a "games " folder and the new kindle has trouble accepting this new folder or parts of the folder that's on the PC (don't know if this is because my son's folder was too big) . To get around this have someone create a new world in the new kindle. Shut the new kindle off and restart the new kindle. Now link the new kindle to the PC and a games folder will be present, Transfer the files on the PC to the new kindle. Then it works fine. Now I have a happy son :)"

Hope that helped, and good luck!
