ummm

I'm not so sure on stuff for windows 8, but make sure that your computer isn't blocking any downloads, after you have downloaded the client, the first thing it wants to do is download a jar file, we cannot distribute this as part of the client due to legal stuff so it has to download afterwards.

Make sure you don't have a firewall blocking it, and try running as administrator.

Didn't work

I don't know how to check if it is blocking the download. Is it possible I can just download the .jar myself and put it in somewhere in the folders? I checked my firewall and I don't think it is blocking anything (I have Kaspersky 2013). I tried running as administrator and that didn't help either. I even tried compatibliltiy mode and that didn't help.
