Your solution

Ahoy!
Seems your having the same problem I am. Try uninstalling Java 7 and replace it with Java 6. Look fir the article for further info on the main page.

Good luck!

I have this problem as well

I have this problem as well as my brother. The reason for java 7 not working is because it becomes unresponsive during the connection process thus crashing your client and the red screen with the pixel message "Can't connect to server. It's probably down!". My brother has tried the Java 6 theory but to no avail.

Hello,

Please ensure you are using the latest version of Java JDK 6 which can be found on google.

I have... twice now. He tried

I have... twice now. He tried it and I made sure he wasn't being screwy with it but to no avail my friend. At least I am an admin on the server I am trying to get on so my rank is secure anyways haha. If I can't get this fixed, I'll have to stick with the paid version... That's the thing. I can run 1.3.2 like a dream but 0.30 refuses to work.

Open up notepad and type:

cd C:\whereveryourwomfolderis
java -D32 -jar World of Minecraft.exe
Save that as Start.bat somewheres like your desktop
Double click Start.bat and it should open up WoM
After that is open try to Direct Connect to WoM
(no idea what the direct connect url is)
if your a member on womrealms.com it can be found at the bottum of the page:
This should work if you do it correctly

As of my understanding Minecraft is not coded with 6 but Minecraft Classic is, And btw there have already been I believe 3 suggestions of Java 6. Making you the fourth person to say the same thing.

Well what can I tell you? It

Well what can I tell you? It didn't work. The batch file didn't load up the World of Minecraft. When I doubleclicked it, a window that looks like the command prompt window pops up for a fraction of a second and disappears. No I cannot tell you what it said unfortunately. I have a the correct java as well so dont blame that.

Alright so first off I installed a brand new World of Minecraft into my Local Disk: (C:\) and named the folder wom

I also opened up Notepad and typed
cd C:\wom
java -D32 -jar World of Minecraft.exe
ok so now I saved the notepad file as Start.bat into the World of Minecraft folder being sure to click the drop down menu in the save thing and select all files rather than *.txt
After this I just double clicked the Start file and huzzah it worked

Okay you were not clear to

Okay you were not clear to say to put the batch file in the same file as your World of Minecraft folder but other than that, the batch file did its job. It opened it up and I used the direct connect. Still did not work. Once again the java platform crashed along with the client. It's midnight here so I'm going to go have a smoke and head to bed.

Thanks for your help and if you come with more ideas, I'll be watching this thread.
