Could be a network issue, check that your firewall is not blocking minecraft.

It looks like minecraft is running to me? Try turning your chunk loading to tiny, and generating a new singleplayer world. It kinda looks like you're in a world with no blocks or clouds in it.

Seems like a Graphics card issue to me. Looks like the game isn't rendering the game AT ALL.
What kind of graphics card do you have?

I think, at last it's the render power of ure card, had similar problems some months ago...
Here are my suggstions:
- don't maximize minecraft, play it in his window
- close all other programs, espacially bandwide-taking ones like the torrent-client and skype
- u have to adjust ure graphic settings in minecraft, choose options on starting screen, then "video settings". There espacially the render distance is important, try "short" with max 5 chunks.
here are my settings (click to enlarge):
try to lower all quality issues (i.e. particle systems, animations etc.) and play around with performance settings.

That looks like when the previous SMP crashed for a bit. I don't remember how staff fixed it but it looks to be an identical picture...
