Well I looked through the topics in this area and couldn't find any related topics, if there are any then feel free to direct me to it and close/delete this.

Okay then, my problem started with the map before the space map, whatever it's called. I was building a giant Chinese palace and out of the blue I get disconected from the server. Sometimes I can build or run around for an hour before getting disconected but mostly its every couple of minutes after being on for a while. It happened before I downloaded the hacks as well. I get no notice on my computer about a problem so i'm assuming it's the server.

Info:

Chinese palace = pagoda.
Map before space = Flatgrass (My World of Minecraft Map List sure comes in handy).

Don't assume it's the server before you get info from others. I'm running perfectly fine.
The only times it goes down like that is when the server goes down, which is very rare.

Try other servers and see if it happens with them as well.

Minecraft doesn't require anything from your computer except your graphics card, your RAM, your Java, your internet, your computer screen, and your keyboard (I think that's all of them). EDIT: And the mouse too. :D

Check if there's anything wrong with Java.

I updated Java did a scan for viruses and such and i'm still getting disconected. My computer is only 2 years old and its got a great graphics card, plenty of ram. The only other thing I can think of is a bug in the game but I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else.

You forgot the mouse.

johnyboyj, open task manager and click on the networking tab and leave that running.

Next time you get disconnected see if the network utilization graph falls at that time.

I ended up downloading a new version of java and did a windows update and after a while it stopped, hopefully it will stay that way.

You can close this if you need to.
