Okay... so. I'm running minecraft 1.4.7. I got the hang of downloading mods and such. I downloaded forge, and some cool mods. I had decided to download biomes o' plenty mod, but it didn't work. I was getting an error message...

So I go to my mods folder... and I think I just removed it? I'm not even sure. (It was this morning so my memory fails the minute details). Anyway, so when I get back on the minecraft launcher.. my dumbass mind says "click force update!", which I thought would do something about the biomes mod i downloaded. But it didn't.  I read up on what force update does and I know now, but obviously that won't help my situation.

I tried re-installing the game, re-installing the mods, I tried using backups and putting forge onto there and launching minecraft from there, but for some reason, none of the mods are showing! I DO NOT understand what's happening!

you must install Minecraft Forge first before you try and the upload the mod to the mods folder not the core mods

Aw, you need a KISS!

Keep It Simple Stupid. There you go.

Half the problems is having too many "mods" that will give you trouble. Not all mods are going to get along together.

O, and one more thing. It is preferable that all players don't use any mods when playing on the World of Minecraft SMP server. However, some maybe the exception to the rule. When in doubt, do as I do. Ask a staff member.

I had tried re-installing

I had tried re-installing forge to a minecraft backup I had, and then the mods, but it still isnt registering. When I open up that launcher in that minecraft backup folder, there is no tab for "mods" on the minecraft screen.
