To find a skin press: the use this skin button. make sure ur logged into minecraft.net and then it will come up would u like to use this skin? press yes. 

To make a skin: find a skin template such as skincraft http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/571250. Create a skin then save it as a .png or .txt file. go onto minecraft.net, log in, click profile, click browse under the skin section, choose the .png or .txt file, and click okay.

To share a skin: go on a website where u can share skins, ex: here, skindex. make a forum topic and put it in player skins. choose the browse button on the file uploader on the bottom of the page. find the file and click okay then click upload. Done!
